Richard Buffong DMD Meet Dr. Buffong DMD, FICOIDr. Buffong is the proud owner of RJ Dental in Teaneck, NJ and Roselle, NJ. He is a highly skilled dentist dedicated to providing gentle and effective care to patients of all dental backgrounds and ages. RJ Dental was established in 2005 with a mission statement: Treating your Oral Health in Relation to your Overall Health. "I want my patients to understand the CONNECTION between their oral health and their overall health. A diseased mouth, including multiple missing teeth or misaligned teeth, has been shown to lead or contribute to heart disease, diabetes, improper digestion of food...just to name a few." - Dr. Richard Buffong Dr. Buffong has always emphasized the importance of creating a dental practice that focuses on relaxation, comfort and integrity. "Most important to me is my patients' understanding and education about the dental procedures that they are undergoing. Dr. Buffong is continually expanding his knowledge of advances in dentistry with seminars held locally and throughout the world, including his most recent Implant Global Conference held in the French Riviera. He has also attended the International Congress on Implantology in Las Vegas, where he qualified for his Fellowship in Implantology (FICOI). Dr. Buffong has found a niche in preforming full mouth reconstructions and applying cosmetic dentistry to each procedure. He is an Invisalign preferred provider, and has successfully performed many difficult Invisalign cases. He also places dental implants for missing areas and for implant supported dentures. Dr.Buffong has been married for over 13 years to Dr. Jeannine Stephenson, who is also a dentist. They have an 11 year old daughter, Alexis, who is the apple of their eye. In his free time he enjoys reading, golfing and running. Dr.Buffong and his staff at RJ Dental have constantly supported and participated in the "GIVE Kids A SMILE" dental program, as well as the March of Dimes Walk in Bergen county. He has also conducted numerous dental screenings, oral hygiene demonstrations, and dental education visits in numerous schools, churches and community sponsored events for many years. His experience includes international missionary trips to Jamaica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines with Health Care International. Dr. Buffong was born on the small nature island of Dominica in the Caribbean.
